After the great success of ‘Paa’ in Hindi it’s now being eyed by the other states, the first being Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Inspired by the theme the music king Ilayaraja purchased the rights of the film to remake in Tamil and Telugu. The theme of the film revolves around a boy who is fourteen but looks 20 years ahead of his age. This role was played by Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek played father of Amitabh. Such is the challenge of the role that there is already a debate in rounds in Kollywood as to who would don the role. As usual the choice appears between Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan. Going by the past achievements of Kamal Hassan in clinical execution of very challenging roles of this kind it will not be a surprise if Kamal is offered this role on a platter. But fans of Rajini are also hopeful that he will accept the role and outperform Amitabh Bachchan. Let’s wait and watch.
