Born on August 9, 1991, Hansika embraced the glamour world at a very tender age.

In 1999, when she was just eight, she bagged a role in the popular television serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

in the same year she also featured in another serial Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand. Her acting in Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand got her the Favorite Child Award at Star Parivaar Awards.

Her other popular television appearances were in Shakalaka Boom Boom, Hum 2 Hain Na and Karishma Kaa Karishma.

Her first film as a child actor was Escape from Taliban in 2003. Besides this, she appeared in Hawa, Koi... Mil Gaya, Aabra Ka Daabra, Jaago and Hum Kaun Hai.

She then bagged a role opposite Allu Arjun in Telugu movie Desamuduru in 2007.

Hansika won the Filmfare Best Female Debut (South) award for Desamuduru.

Her Bollywood debut came in 2007 when she acted opposite Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Kaa Surroor - The Real Luv Story.

She was nominated for the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for the movie Aap Kaa Surroor - The Real Luv Story.

Her next Bollywood venture was Money Hai Toh Honey Hai in 2008 but she failed to impress.

In 2008, she debuted in Kannada film Bindaas as a lead actress with actor Puneet Rajkumar.


In yet another effort to make a mark, she worked opposite Jr. NTR in the movie Kantri.
