The driver turned out to be Navdeep. He and his friend were brought to Banjara Hills police station and then shifted to Gandhi Hospital for medical examination. Police claimed that he behaved in a rude manner while being shifted to Gandhi Hospital in an auto rickshaw. Cases under Sections 279 (rash driving), 332 (causing hurt) and 353 (assault) of IPC read with 185 of Motor Vehicle Act were booked against the two.
