Fans of Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Asin might have to wait longer than expected for their latest flicks to hit the screens in Tamil Nadu. The two had gone on a month-long tour of Sri Lanka for shooting Ready, defying the appeal of Kollywood and Tamil groups not to visit the island nation because of its anti-Tamil activities. But those who thought the controversy would be given a decent burial have been proved wrong. Very recently, associations of actors, exhibitors and distributors in Tamil Nadu jointly decided not to buy or screen Asin's movies. Though Asin explained her stand that she was only doing a job following the producer and director's instructions in going to Lanka, producers and exhibitors fear that screening of her movies now would only fetch them losses as pro-Tamil groups would protest, giving room to a needless political controversy, say industry sources.
