Congres president Sonia Gandhi is cut up with reports that the party Central leadership had drafted Sandeep Dikshit to work out a compromise with Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
A section of the media in the national capital carried reports that Rahul Gandhi wanted Sandeep, son of Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit, to talk to Jagan and hammer out a compromise. Thereports were reportedly based on a briefing from the Jagan camp.
Sonia, according to sources, was upset with the reports and demanded an explanation from Sandeep on who had authorised him to speak to Jagan on behalf of the party.
Apparently, shaken by the entire episode, Sandeep reportedly explained that he met Jagan casually as he would meet any other MP contrary to mediareports that he was trying to stitch together a compromise formula.
In short, the sources said, Sonia Gandhi was still unhappy with Jagan for going ahead with his Odarpu Yatra despite her advice against the same. In fact, the young MP is all set to hit the road again, this time in Prakasam district from September 3.
