Magadheera, the all-time highest grocer in Tollywood, has bagged two National Awards in technical category. One of the best special effects oriented film produced in India, the movie won award for it. Kamal Kannan bagged the award in the Best Special Effects category for the film while dance master Shivshankar won Best Choreographer award for the super hit song - Dheera Dheera. The prestigious 57th National Awards for year 2009 were announced on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in New Delhi. Only 2 awards came to Telugu film industry.
Kutty Sarank (Malayalam) is selected as the Best Film.On the other hand, Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots is announced as Best Popular Film. Amitabh Bachchan walked away with the honors of Best Actor for his portrayal of Progeria patient in Paa.
