It is well aware that after the stupendous success of ‘Robo’, Shankar is seriously working for the remake of ‘3 Idiots’, a Bollywood hit film in Tamil and Telugu languages.
In Telugu, Maheshbabu would play the role of Amir Khan, while Ileana was chosen in place of Kareena Kapoor. Madhavan opted out of the project on personal reasons. Jeeva of ‘E’-fame, who is the son of RB Choudary of Super Good Movies and Arya of ‘Varudu’-fame and Siddhartha are being considered for the other two roles.
However, the star cast is yet to be confirmed. But Shankar is gearing up for the project by rewriting the script to suit the taste of the Telugu audiences. If everything goes well, the film would be formally launched on December 6 as per the tentative schedule.
Gemini Film Circuits had come forward to produce the Telugu version and it had bought the remake rights from Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Harris Jayaraj is scoring music for the flick and the music sittings had already begun and it is learnt that two songs were already recorded for the flick.
However, the official confirmation about all this is yet to come from the production house.
